Hello, I’ve been exploring therapy options as a college student still under my parents’ plan. From what I see, it’s 20% coinsurance with an in-network provider. I don’t want my parents to know about me getting a therapist, so I want to know to what extent they’ll see these costs on their account. For example, will they be billed that 20%, or can I just pay the therapist that part directly? Will they see any transactions on my account? What should I be looking out for to make sure they won’t be alerted? Thanks for your help.
