Developers really need to fix this unfair inconsistency

I have been playing Wild Rift on the Korean server since Season 0.
I started playing this game when I was serving in the army, and I have loved the game enough to run a small YouTube channel about it.
However, there is one issue that has existed for years and still has not been fixed.
Because of that, I started to think that maybe the developers are simply not aware of it. So I decided to write this post with the help of GPT translation.
In Wild Rift, there are many items and runes that amplify champion damage.
For items, examples include:
- Spear of Shojin
- Riftmaker
- Infinity Orb
- Horizon Focus
For runes, examples include:
- First Strike
- Empowerment
- Battle Zeal
- Last Stand
- Cut Down
- Coup de Grace
- Axiom Arcanist
These damage amplification effects work properly on most normal types of damage.
However, when it comes to true damage, they work inconsistently.
It is not that true damage is never amplified at all.
For example, Spear of Shojin and Axiom Arcanist can increase true damage, but many other items and runes with very similar “damage amplification” effects do not actually increase true damage.
If none of these effects applied to true damage, I could understand that as a clear design philosophy.

In League of Legends PC, around February 2025, Riot made changes so that damage amplification effects interact with true damage more consistently. According to the official Patch 2025.S1.3 notes, “all sources of damage amplification now increase all true damage,” except Smite and jungle pet damage.
I really hope Wild Rift receives a similar consistency update.
As a Vel’Koz main, this issue feels especially frustrating.
Vel’Koz is already not an easy champion to perform well with, and he requires a lot of skill and accuracy. Since true damage is a major part of his damage output, many items and runes that should theoretically synergize well with him end up being inefficient because they do not properly amplify his true damage.
I sincerely hope the developers can comment on this issue or consider a future patch to make true damage interactions more consistent.
