Just dosed correctly and holy shit
Please be kind, I’m writing this for the people who are starting Reta and feel like it isn’t working.
I’ve been on it for about a month and a half, starting at what I thought was 2mg and titrating up to 4mg. Well turns out I’m an idiot and was actually giving myself 1mg and 2 mg injections. Keep in mind this after 2 years of being on the highest dose of tirz.
How did I manage to do this you might ask? Somewhere along the way when I was reconstituting, I used the recommended 2 mL of bac in a 10 mg vial. I don’t know where my math went wrong, but basically I was measuring my dosage wrong. I inject with a 1 mL syringe, so when I would pull 20 units, it was only 1mg instead of what I thought to be 2.
I was so incredibly frustrated because not only did I gain 5 pounds in the last month, I felt like the food noise was back completely and nothing was happening.
This morning I reconstituted a new vial, dosed 4 mg correctly. (Yes I know I moved up quickly) and wow I felt it almost immediately.
