Anyone heard of or had a case where someone had allstar evidence that they wanted to share, like total make-or-break the case stuff (think cell phone video of the crime, or secret audio recording of a confession), but they were not comfortable doing so publicly (or having the defendent know they beytrayed them)?

For example- Hypothetically, a DV victim has video footage of severe assaults, audio of threats to rape her, photos of black eyes and busted lips with timestamps showing monthly abuse for years... she wants her boyfriend (abuser) to have repercussions, and wants to keep him on probation or something as it keeps him from hurting her, but the case is about to be dropped with no evodence, a no bill from grand jury, and wealthy perp with top criminal attorney in the county. She wants to help, but isn't ready to leave him and doesnt want him to know she handed it all over (and prosecution knows that this info would likely see her dead). What can be done?

Hypothetically... If the DA has presented a case to the grand jury, witnesses have gone in and testified, but then crickets... what would you assume?

A handful of other indictments have been released to the papers each week since witnesses testified, so other cases are being heard and voted on. Orientation for the new grand jury group is this week, so they had to have voted or intentionally presented case then stalled... is that normal?

Would you assume that they didnt get the true bill? Or that the DA is going to re-present to new GJ from scratch?
