I honestly didn’t expect Reddit to help my mental health this much.

I used to spend hours on Instagram every day just scrolling and comparing myself to everyone. It got to the point where I felt constantly drained and weirdly disconnected from real life. My self esteem was terrible without me even realizing how much social media was affecting it.

I joined Reddit just now and started searching for communities that talked about this stuff. Subs like nosurf, getmotivated, getdisciplined , stopscrolling has genuinely helping me slow down a bit and think differently about how I use my phone and attention.

It feels way less performative here and more like actual people trying to improve their lives together.

Has anyone else found certain Reddit communities unexpectedly helpful for simplifying life or improving mental health?
