Hi

I’m a 2nd year apprentice and I just want to get rough idea of where my progress should be at right now. I haven’t done any major rebuilds like head gaskets.

-I have done around 5 timing chain jobs on 4 cyl and V6.

-I’ve replaced a transmission with minimal supervision.

-An oil pump on a jeep grand cherokee.

- 10s of electrical/complex diags.

-helped replace an engine.

At my shop (Canadian tire) the highest level of a complex job we get is a head gasket, maybe 1 every year or so. I also am not that experienced in wiring diagrams but I am very slowly learning.

Is this progress good for the stage I’m at? Should I consider moving to a better smaller shop that can educate me more or does this seem good?
