Hi there 20F. One month ago I discovered a small, round, hard, smooth, moveable lump in my right breast with no other symptoms.
Fast forward to the 30th of April I decided to go to the emergency because that once small lump is no longer small, I would say it has grow 2x-3x the size. It was now painful with waves of pain, it was red, hot, feeling heavy, and still very hard especially when you touched the left side of my breast. Also when I got to the hospital I had a fever of 38C (100.4 F) and the right side of my throat was sore with little white spots.
Anyway the doctor said it looks like I have an infection so she gave me some iv antibiotics, and cephalexin to take 4x a day + some pain killers. They took blood(everything good, just read as I have an infection) and blood cultures(never called me for results)I also got an appointment with the breast health clinic on the 7th.
Anyway I’ve been on the antibiotics now for almost 4 full days and my pain is definitely a lot better but the redness hasn’t changed(looks pretty much the same as the morning I went to the ER). The soreness and white spots in my throat are all gone. But now the part that I’m worried about, around my nipple was very hard as whatever this lump is, is pushing up towards my nipple but now one are around my nipple is no longer hard but soft and squishy like something in there has popped and now that same area is raised if there is something under there. So what is happening and should I go back to the ER or wait until my appointment on the 7th?
