Has anyone had this type of reaction to scabies? (not sure if it even is...)
I am going crazy because last week I stayed at a hotel where I noticed some sort of biting, but searched and couldn't find anything. Two/three days later I started to get some bite marks on my body, initially I thought it could be bed bugs so washed everything I traveled with... but more and more kept appearing and it the small bites are turning into huge red circles. I went to the doctor and they suggested it could be scabies, and gave me the treatment for it. I applied the cream, but it just made it SO much worse, I got about 10/15 more "bites", the itching was worse than ever and they looked so much worse than the first day. I went to the emergency room and they gave me a histamine shot, more cream and oral medication to fight it (So i've now applied the cream twice and taken the oral medication once)... nothing seems to help though. I'm starting to think that it's not even scabies and something completely different... when I look at scabies photos, it doesn't really look at all like what I have, I don't really see any burrows, but honestly I don't know, it's driving me crazy. I have attached a photo, can anyone tell me if theirs has looked anything like this?! Or if you have had something like this and know what it is? I have the same all over different parts of my body, but the worst is here (nothing on my stomach or back though)
