I don’t understand how, in the discussion around the White House press conference shooting, claims that it was staged or faked started spreading within hours, despite there being no solid information to support them.

And it isn't even a few isolated incidents, I see so many posts and comments on various subreddits that INSIST that it must be staged / faked. Madness.

I get skepticism in general, but this level of immediate certainty around unverified claims feels like something else entirely.
