So I have had my Xbox Series X since about a month after release and since the past year or so my Xbox has been prone to shut completely off in the middle of playing games, there is no error message when booting back up, so I usually just clean it out with an air can or etc and call it good but recently I got into the new EA Skate game to play with friends and it will shut off usually mid trying to hit crazy jumps, the other game I’ve recently run into issues with is Apex Legends, and if I remember correctly I quit playing altogether way back in season 16 because I had the same issues starting back then, I remember having issues with even Fortnite of all games the last time I played which was months ago now but other than that I know there have been other games to also crash my Xbox but maybe not to the extent of these EA games, it can be 30 minutes into playing or less and it will shut off… I’ve owned my console long enough that there is no warranty I can use so I decided to open up and deep clean it myself as well as replace the thermal paste, neither of which seemed to of helped and I took everything apart and got every spec of dust out, I even got a brand new power cord, so now I’m down to three possible conclusions/fixes: it needs a new power supply, I need a new fan, or something is wrong with the motherboard causing it to not ramp my fan up during higher performance games. Any help is appreciated!!
