We recently purchased a home built in the 60’s. Prior to testing for asbestos some friends had taken it upon themselves to take down some drywall. Additionally they had removed a few ceiling tiles in the basement. The tiles didn’t break and came down whole.

Anyways it’s our understanding risk if any would be low in the mud on dry way but has anyone had a positive test on the ceiling tiles in a home built during this time?

A friend who worked at a home restoration business said most tend to come back negative!

Thoughts?

For further context we have a guy coming to test tomorrow (although some is already too late)
