Hiby R3 II Issues

Hi everyone, new to this sub and the world of DAPs and high-quality audio listening in general, so please go easy on me if I misunderstand anything :)

Over the past year I have been slowly making my way into hi-fi music, starting with my 6th gen ipod with rockbox and cheap wired headphones, but currently using Sennheiser HD600s with my player being a recently purchased Hiby R3 II which I am loving overall, except for one key issue.

The combination power button/volume knob on the device seems to have been broken upon arrival. When I took it out of the box it was extremely wobbly but seemed to work, but after about a week of use something is definitely wrong. The wobbling has actually gotten worse, and it no longer "clicks" when I press down as with any other buttons, making it so that I need to apply high pressure for the device to actually register it and turn on.

From what I've been able to find, it seems this is a common quality control issue and that it will only get worse with more use. Additionally, the only method to fix it seems to involve the use of a heat gun and understanding of internal electronic repair, neither of which I have.

Luckily I purchased this from Amazon, so would be able to easily return the device, however I would like to ask for some advice regarding where to go from here? In terms of price, I would be willing to get something a little more expensive if it is built to last, and have specifically been looking at the Hiby R4. However, due to this situation, I am hesitant to give Hiby more of my money unless others are able to vouch for the quality of the product, which seems to be much higher than the R3 II.

Thanks for sticking with the long read, and any help would be seriously appreciated! I am loving this community and am so happy to have others to help me with the learning process!
