Nuclear fission question

So I am learning nuclear fission, it said that fission of reactant mass is less of products than reactant, how does this happen is energy being sent over to split the uranium into constituents nucleons and nucleons combine to form 2 daughter nuclei? Is it like this I supply the binding energy to split uranium and then nucleons combine 2 daughter nuclei and release energy, is energy released bigger than initially energy supplied ??

I have a photoelectric effect question

If positive potential difference is applied between cathode and anode, the electrons emitted per second reach reaches a constant value for increasing voltage? But isn’t there an electric field between cathode and anode?? Will electric field be enough to pull electrons from cathode on its own?? Sorry if this a dumb questions

Alevel physics electricity

Doesn’t current increase 2 emf is parallel to each other?? Why does the mark scheme current remains same?? I

Suppose emf equals I (r plus R) since r internal resistance halved emf equals I time ( r/2 plus R) shouldn’t current increase ??

What changes when in youngs double slit experiment when slit spacing gets smaller ?

As slit spacing gets smaller, fringe spacing gets bigger , what does that mean do the maxima get bigger and minima gets smaller or do they both get bigger together and are same size???? Also does intensity of maxima decrease??

In young double slit experiment is slit spacing get smaller waves spread out more does that bright fringes increase in size and dark minima decrease in size ?? does that mean dark minima are not equal in size to maxima??.

How to answer this question? Would central maxima be bigger, because bigger wavelength diffracting more??
