I 19F and my 21M bf have been together for 2 years but something feels weird about his identity and family. I have a really strong gut feeling somethings wrong. Two years ago when we met he told me a disturbing story about getting k!napped as a child in Iraq when he was 6 years old, but two years later now he’s never mentioned it again, it sounded fake. He is born in Australia and only went to his hometown once, his parents are both from iraq. I was hanging out with him a while ago, and I noticed his ID had a completely different birthday and name than what I’ve known him as. I questioned it and he said “ oh idk my dad just put the wrong name on my birth certificate” then he shut the conversation down. I also noticed that in these past 2 years together I’ve never met his mum or any of his family. He claims that his mum loves me and wants to meet me but never organises a time or date to meetup, I feel like I’m always asking and it never happens. He also allegedly has an older brother that’s lives on the other side of Australia which he never speaks to that is 35 years old but yet his mum is 45 years old? Also for my birthday a while ago, we organised a little party with his friends and mine, and I kept hearing his friends call my bf and his cousin brothers? And I kept saying they’re not brothers but the friends were really like definite about the fact they’re brothers??? I asked my bf about it and he said “ oh idk why they think we are brothers haha “ then the conversation ended… I feel like I’m going crazy. I don’t know if I’m taking it worse than what it is but something feels extremely off. To add on, his mum, his dad and himself all have different last names. He’s also been very secretive about his mums number, like he’s never given it to me when I’ve asked ( he has my mum’s number). Also for clarification the dynamic of his family is allegedly older brother 35, mum 45, dad 50, my bf 21, his little sister 6. Pls help with any advice I feel like I’m driving myself crazy, if you need any more info I’ll give it to you:)
