I was starting to plan a birthday party for my 5yo about 4-5 weeks away.

For context, we are more of an “experience” family vs bday party so I dont have much experience with birthday parties or planning them.

I asked her to tell her friends, get a feel for who will go/make a list before sending official invites, plan was to have chuck e cheese/kpop party.

She cried when I picked her up today and told me that none of her friends want to go bc huntrix is “lame”. Not a single one.

Im so sad for her. Am I overreacting? Should I plan and do all this shit for the real possibility that no one shows up?

We talked about it and she wants to do Disneyland or something but it just…hurts
