I’ve run into a pretty frustrating RAM issue and wanted to see if anyone here has managed to fix something similar. I originally bought a Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB kit (2x16GB, 6000MHz CL36 - CMK32GX5M2E6000C36) a few years ago. Recently, I bought the exact same SKU again from the same retailer to upgrade to 64GB.

everything matches:
- Same SKU
- Same speed (6000MHz)
- Same timings (CL36)
But when I installed all 4 sticks, it wouldn’t run properly, it won’t even post. I just get a black screen and can’t access BIOS. The old kit works fine on its own, the new kit works fine on its own but as soon as I mix them, that’s when the issues start.

After digging deeper, I found that the old kit runs at 1.40V while the new kit runs at 1.35V, Different version numbers / internal revisions. From what I understand now, Corsair can change internals without changing the SKU (which I didn’t know before).

I’ve tried so far:
- Updated motherboard BIOS to latest version
- Enabled and disabled EXPO (both tested)
- Manually set: 4800MHz 1.35–140V DRAM

System specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
GPU: RTX 4070
Motherboard: B650M GAMING X AX Rev. 1.0
RAM: 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000 CL36
