I’m replacing two In-Wall HD access points. These were necessary when I lived in a 77-foot-long apartment (a narrow, long strip), but now I live in a two-story home with a 22x18-foot footprint. I know having two access points is excessive, but the Wi-Fi has been incredibly reliable. Devices can connect to both APs without any issues (the tx power is set to the minimum on both APs), and I enjoy dominating the airwaves in my neighborhood.

So, should I get just one E7 or save 100 bucks by getting two U7 Pro Wall?

I've been a long time FIOS customer, having gigabit service at my place for several years now. I have noticed recently (about 3-6 months ago), the upload speed has gone down from the promised symmetrical 1Gbps, to about half (500Mbps). I use my own router (UCG Fiber, capable of routing 5Gbps) and most of my devices are wired for maximum performance. I've taken metrics wiredly connected to the router and directly to the ONT.

A year ago, and years before that, I was getting the aforementioned symmetrical gigabit bandwidth any time of the day, any day of the week. I was wondering if any of you folks have experienced this same issue. Or if Verizon has acknowledged issues like this before.
