What Would Your Perfect CPAP Mask Look Like?

Hey guys, I'm a Freshman in College and I was talking to my friend whos dad was diagnosed with sleep apnea around 2 years ago. He told me he's noticed how his dad has had a bunch of issues with every single mask he’s tried concerning fit, air leaks, comfort; basically all the problems I see commonly cited in this sub. I also interned at a pulomonology clinic for around 4 months and always wondered why CPAP masks, a critical device which you spend about a third of your life wearing, just came in generic sizes and there wasn’t an efficient way to get CPAP masks customized personally to your unique self.

It was then around the same time when I talked to my friend more, and we decided to start working on a project for school where patients could easily order customized CPAP masks fit specifically to your unique anatomy through a streamlined app with facial scanning and medical grade 3D printing.

But we need your advice: we want to know what exactly you would want specifically to be able to customize if you had full control over the shape, color, material, design, style, etc. of your mask and headband. Would you be interested in aesthetics or styling specific designs on your mask (I’ve heard patients say that they wish they could safely make their mask their own since they’re going to use it for the rest of your life)?

Also it would be extremely extremely helpful if you guys could visit our website we created and sign up for the waitlist to complete the quick survey if possible. Link is in the comments.

Thank you so much for your time, your response will help us greatly in our mission to genuinely make CPAP masks that actually fit all the struggling CPAP patients out there!
