Mad Max Fury Road was a great action movie, no doubt about that.
My question though is:
Is it a Mad Max movie?
My thoughts being:
(Original movies) Mad Max was about scarcity and how that broke society. That scarcity lead to the brutality on the roads.
Fury Road, on the other hand, had an abundance of resources yet they still had a "Road war".
I get resources are still scarce for the majority but the constant shooting of guns and never ending distance of the motorbikes didn't feel very "Mad Max".
It just didn't "feel" like a Mad Max movie to me as the scarcity aspect wasn't really apparent.
Am I the only one that thinks this, am I just wrong?
Thoughts please.
