^title, just trying to figure out my chances of getting accepted if my gpa is around an 11.5

hello, im currently in my first year of life sci and I am having a hard time figuring out how to rank my second year specializations. I am between biochem or trying to transfer into health sci, and my average is around an 11.5. If I rank health sci as first would it jeopardize my chances of getting into biochem? I've heard that since biochem is such a competitive program and so many people rank it as their top choice, ranking it as a second choice would make it less likely for me to get into the program. Should I rank biochem as first and rank health sci as second, or completely give up applying to health sci in general? any help would be really appreciated
