I’m planning to buy a second-hand car, and I’m completely new to 4-wheelers, so I don’t have much knowledge about cars yet. My budget is around 1 - 2 Lakhs, and I’ll mostly use it for city driving/family use.

I wanted suggestions on:
- What things should I check before buying a used car?
- How many kilometers driven is considered okay?
- Which brands/models are reliable for beginners?
- What documents should I verify?
- How to know if the car has accident history or hidden issues?
- Should I buy from an individual seller or a dealer?
- Any common mistakes first-time buyers make that I should avoid?
