What's your favorite Penultimate episode?

Mine is Season 2 Episode 8 "The Mind Flayer".

That episode was just peak ST and to me will always be one of the most memorable episode from the entirety of the show.

  1. Lab escape: The Lab part with them trying to find a way out was just pure mystery horror vibe. The suspense was it especially with the demodogs roaming and Bob rebooting the system, Rest in peace Bob Newby.

  2. Catch up/Reunion Time: The group all coming together was amazing to see. Let's not forget Nancy and Jonathan's reaction to Steve 😆. Also that Dustin & Jonathan button argument was hilarious. Steve finally got respect from Nancy for taking care of the kids. Them finding an analogy for the shadow monster was a fun scene.

  3. Interrogation scene: That part was just intriguing to watch. It was such a highlight from the season. Noah Schnapp's acting was amazing as Possessed Will. The whole montage of them getting the code was amazing.

  4. Last scene: I'm sure every Mileven fan loved that scene. It was so satisfying to see that reunion, I mean we were expecting it throughout the whole season. That heartwarming look from Mike was just wow.

Famous actor/actress you at first didn't know was in the MCU. I'll go first - Sigourney Weaver in The Defenders (2017)

Tbh I didn't watch the Netflix Marvel shows back when they first came out. It was after Phase 4 that I gave them a try.

What are some 80s songs that represent the seasons as a whole, individually?

You could choose a song that was linked to an epic moment from the specific season or a song that has the vibe of the season. Or you could pick a song that reminds you of the season in particular.

I'll go first: S1 - Should I Stay Or Should I Go HM: Atmosphere by Joy Division

S2 - Thriller HM: Ghostbusters, Every Breath You Take

S3 - Everybody Wants To Rule The World HM: Never Ending Story

S4 - Running Up That Hill (FOR SURE) HM: Separate Ways

S5 - Who Wants To Live Forever (I'm sad this wasn't in the season) HM: Heroes (David Bowie)

Can we talk about how peak and well done Stranger Things trailers are😭. Man to this day, I still rewatch some of them very often reminiscing about the past and how excited I was for the seasons.

Here's my top 3 fav trailers:

  1. Season 4 Official Trailer
  2. Season 2 Comic Con Trailer
  3. Season 5 Official Trailer

The hype that these trailers used to build was just over the top. What really worked well was the mystery, the feelings, the build up and ESPECIALLY THE MUSIC. The musics were often the best parts of it.

I mean take a look at the S2 comic con one, "Thriller" worked really well with the halloween vibe and made the trailer so catchy and addictive to watch. Given that the show was still in its niche small town vibe was surreal considering the fact that it's small but epic and memorable.

For the S4 trailer, I still remember the day it came out😭. There was a 24 clock countdown for it and man I was so hyped S4 was finally coming out considering that we had just recovered from the Pandemic. This was how I discovered "Separate Ways" and man that trailer remix made me levitate. It was just THAT GOOD. They also had brought back the horror vibe after a colourful season (S3). It was shocking to discover a villain that could talk to. That last shot of vecna lowering down with the vines stunned me in a way that the scale of this season was gonna be so much big.

For S5, "Who wants to live forever" was really good for it and I just wished the season lived up to the expectations. It just felt so endgame type like trailer and made me emotional but hyped. That last part with Vecna and Will was just a cherry on top of the cake.

Another thing that I would like to bring up about these trailers are the theories that fans made after seeing these trailers. I remember someone saying that the rats in S3 were eventually going to turn out as the monster in the hospital.

Even if some of these theories didn't make sense, it was a great time to be an ST fan. A ridiculous one was someone thinking that Vecna was actually billy since Billy had died with tentacles on him and Vecna had those vines on him.

But my fav theory that didn't turn out to be true was when fans thought that Max was gonna get powers during that levitation shot. It seemed random but pretty interesting.

One of the things that made ST really memorable to me was the trailers. What was your favorite trailer?

After watching the first shadow (on yt by slime tutorial since I didn't have the possibility), I realize that Henry had more depth as a character being in this scenario compared to when he was just a sensitive child shown in the season 4 backstory.

The S4 backstory shows him as a sensitive evil child who had powers and thought that the world is broken and needed to be fixed.

In TFS, we get to see that he was manipulated by the Mind Flayer and that due to bad circumstances, he gave in to the evil shadow. He had depth and personality, he had a love interest. That truly intrigued me and made me understand the character more.

Honestly to me, it makes more sense that he was manipulated by the mind flayer instead of him understanding that this world is broken. It shows that the true evil is smth inhuman and out of this world instead of the typical human randomly becomes evil story. It also keeps intact the mythology of ST about how the true evil is beyond this world.

The only issue is timeline issue. In ST4, it is shown that Henry came to Hawkins when he was a child but in TFS it shows that he was a teenager.

What I choose to believe in, is the FIRST SHADOW persona of Henry. It just adds more to his character. Even though I didn't get to watch the play live, I liked the idea of it.

In fact, I'm making a rewrite FOR SEASON 5 where Vecna's fate and plotline will rely on his past in the first shadow. It will be more referenced in my rewrite than the actual show and I tried to make the story and twist work on who is in control.

The eighth episode of my rewrite is called "Henry" and it will try to expand more on how this whole thing with him turning into Vecna works and also explains the cave plot into a different manner.
