Look, I'm not saying that antis are transphobes OR that it's even close the same amount of repressiveness. But as someone who is trans, I will say that it feels similar. The amount of invalidation that is put into making sure you know that you'll never be an artist is quite reminiscent.

Is having someone tell you that you aren't an artist anywhere near as hurtful as someone telling you that you aren't a woman? For me, no. But it is still hurtful. Being an artist is part of my identity, even though it's not as big as being a woman, it still hurts to be told that no matter what i'll "Never be an artist".
