Hi, my name is Mark. I’m currently in orthodontic treatment for a severe open bite.An open bite means my top and bottom teeth don’t touch when I bite down, so even when I’m fully closing my mouth, there’s still a gap. It makes things like eating and speaking feel uncomfortable and unnatural. This is something I’ve been dealing with for years and to fix it, I’ll need corrective jaw surgery, which will reposition my jaw so my teeth can actually meet the way they’re supposed to. Unfortunately, the cost is more than I can afford on my own right now so I created a GoFundMe to try and get help with the medical and recovery costs.
