THE 9 AFFIRMATIONS

[Method] The affirmation exercise that stopped feeling fake to me

I used to try random affirmations from YouTube and Instagram but most of them never lasted more than a few days.

The problem was not repetition. It was that I did not actually believe the words I was saying.

So I changed the approach completely.

Instead of using huge unrealistic statements, I started using identity based affirmations connected to behavior.

Example:

“I act like the person I want to become before results appear.”

That one line changed the way I approached work, money, and even conversations.

I noticed something interesting after a few weeks:

I stopped waiting to “feel motivated” before taking action.

The affirmations started working more like mental reminders than emotional hype.

A few other lines that helped me:

“I do not panic when progress is slow.”
“I notice opportunities faster because my mind expects growth.”
“My habits shape my future more than my mood does.”

Still experimenting with this, but this approach feels way more grounded than the typical motivational stuff online.

Curious if anyone else here has tried identity based affirmations instead of emotional ones.
