What's a better pull start for a new account today?
Hi, I've been playing on zzz for a couple of days now and am trying to figure out which limited characters to focus on. I'm currently playing f2p. Promea and Nicole are doing just fine at this point. As for my second team, I'm slowly leveling up Soldier 11 + Lucy + Pulchra.
I've been reading a bit on Reddit and other posts about patch 3.x and the upcoming characters, and I'm starting to doubt whether I should continue spending polychromes (currently around 70 pulls and probably another 100 farmable) until the new season.
On the one hand:
SBilly is expected next, and Luccia (if I understand correctly, a premium rupture support) is currently in rerun, who might be a good partner for him. But SBilly's gameplay, visually, doesn't quite suit me. However, they could make a decent second or third team, which is good for a nearly empty new account.
On the other hand:
It's unclear how soon any more rupture characters will become available.
Also, it's not yet clear how effective SBilly himself will be.
I see several options:
- Skip a month until 3.0 and try to get new characters for Promea.
- Try to get Lucia with the prospect of later, during a rerun, getting a strong rupture DPS, like Yixuan. (This might prevent me from getting both the character and the signature w-engine in 3.0.)
- Get both Lucia and SBilly to get a team much earlier, but the chances of getting anyone in 3.0 will be quite low.
In the end, it seems obvious that option one is the most reliable. But at the same time, I can't decide whether options two and three are worth the risk. Maybe I'll see some interesting opinions here.
