I recently received a job offer from a medical residency program in Kentucky and I'm debating accepting the position. I don't know much about Kentucky but I'm a little apprehensive about accepting the position. Obviously KY being in the deep south there is the stereotype of racism and homophobia being prominent in those areas but I wanted some perspective about what life is really like there. Some background about myself I am a 28 y/o middle eastern gay man currently living in Philadelphia, PA considering a couple of different offers
EDIT: People getting pressed. because I called Kentucky the deep south, I'm an international student and the majority of the time I have spent in the US has been in Philly so forgive me if I don't know the difference between south vs. deep south...
