I pierced my ears a year ago, still healing?
I’ve always had sensitive skin and ears. When I got my first piercings done as a kid, they got so inflamed I eventually let them close. When I got into my 20s, I repierced the holes and made sure to buy only surgical grade steel earrings. Over a year ago, I pierced my second holes in my ear, just above the first. To this day, every day, I find some crust/goo around the earrings. Sometimes it’s light green and crusted, sometimes paler and sticky and wet. I took my earring out and notice it feels really hard where the hole is, like scar tissue inside. But they still have some pain and that discharge. My question is are they healing normally? Is this a sensitive skin thing? Is there a better metal I should use? I went to a reputable piercing studio, and my first ones feel and healed fine. I’m tired of having gross and sore ears!!
