I'm fairly new to coin roll hunting, and I've seen a lot of people talking about having a relationship with their tellers.

Just curious as to how and why that works? What I mean by that is how would a teller know if there's something in a roll? or if we're talking about loose coins why would they be incentivized to save it or set it aside?

Or is it more about when you go in, during your visit, you basically say "Hey anything cool in your drawer?"

And how and what do you say to establish the relationship? Is it just a matter of basically saying "Hey I'm a collector and I'm looking for any interesting coins you might come across"?

Beyond that are there any rules, established or unspoken, that people should know? I find it hard to understand why a bank would give you crap/care if you're asking for rolls/boxes especially since it's legal tender and you're a customer, but maybe i'm missing something.

I couldn't quite find the right place to post this question and figured this might be the closest place.

How much is a physical, printed style guide of a major I.P. worth? Not the how much you'd pay to make one, but rather the final product as a "collectible".

For example something Dreamworks might've produced to send to partners to create merchandising or promotional graphics.

On the one hand a lot of time and effort went into creating it and if you're a fan of the I.P. then it's a pretty cool item, but on the other hand it's also very niche.
