AIO: BF just settling for me?
Long story short, I’ve been with this man for 4.5 years, and the last few conversations I’ve had with him just makes it seem like he’s just settling with me and sees no long term/future for us.
He’s mentioned us moving in together a couple of times, every time I go looking for apartments and tell him about some of the listings that look decent, he says he isn’t ready. This is the 2nd year he’s done this.
We had a conversation last weekend where he said he would always come back even if we broke up, claiming “I’m 47 and can’t start over” which just made me feel like he just stays with me because he’s at that age where he can’t find anyone else/doesn’t want to.
We talked about if he got rich, and he described what he would be doing (and surprise surprise) not once did he mention me still being with him in his plans. which may seem dumb but I took it as if he had money, he’d ditch me.
Then he asked me to come over this weekend, but it was just cause he needed me to watch his youngest for a couple minutes to go do something before he leaves town, and that he needed more marijuana..
Am I overreacting? Sorry if this seems all over the place, these are just the last few interactions that have rubbed me the wrong way.
