How have the entry-level Samsung TVs gotten "slower" and laggier over time? (NU8000 vs TU8000 vs U8000F)

I bought a TU8000 in 2021. It was a very decent TV. Served me till sometime late last year, at which point I got a U8000F. The U8000F to my dismay, has a very slow/sluggish interface. It lags as move across content on Netflix for example. How does this happen? The chipset must be much newer?

Anyways, recently I went to a relative's home, and they have the NU8000. And by God, was the interface on Prime and Netflix SMOOTH!!! This TV launched in 2019. I double checked to make sure it was running off the TV instead of some media box. Dare I say, it was even smoother than my TU8000.

How does this happen, folks? Is it some kind of placebo effect, or is it real? How and why?
