I've been trying to grow my hair out for 14 years

I did the big chop on my 16th birthday. It grew to shoulder length in 2 years, and then the Dominicans messed it up by putting relaxer in the conditioner. I've since had to constantly start over again and again and it hasn't grown in the same. It just keeps getting damaged and I'm always at armpit length before I have to cut it to shoulder length again. Just not sure who to talk to about it, because now that my 30th birthday is coming up, I've always hoped for my hair to be a lot longer than it is now. I'm attaching some pictures from the last few years, my BC was 2012. I just went today to get a trim and it is definitely longer and thicker and my stylist is good, but i was just hoping to retain more length and be at a certain length by now at 16 years in. Hard to not compare when you see people who big chop and 2 years later their hair is down to their ass
