Homeowner installed. I was told that you do not have to protect the tray cable in the state in which I live. I have Line set covers all the way until about the last foot and a half. But the squirrels man. They chew through the garbage cans through your shed anything that soft and plastic. So I put some fine mesh stainless steel screen around what was left of the insulated lines and the last run of tray cable. Is this dumb? Just worried if by chance they chewed on the stainless steel mesh that someone could make contact with the wires at sometime.
