Is this Specialized Tarmac SL3 Dura-Ace 2011 worth $1200?
I want to start out by saying this is going to be my first bike and went ti bike shops they are trying to sell me on $6000 bikes. Plan to ride with a friend hope to do at least 3 rides a week anywhere from 20-50 miles a ride. Can easily ride to beach which is about 25 miles. Is it worth spending the money on an old carbon bike or do i look for a newer bike aluminum with not as good components?
Haven't ridden in 2-3 years, good condition (small cosmetic dings, no crashes), very well maintained before I stopped riding. (Needs a good cleaning/degreasing and new bar tape)
The bike is upgraded (see below for all specs). Frame is 52cm, fits 5'3-5'8.
Will provide Look KEO -4.5 degree clipless pedals if needed (brand new, never used, no box)
