Anyone else dealing with retailer orders coming through WhatsApp, calls, and random texts?

I’ve been speaking to a few small wholesalers recently and noticed something interesting.

A lot of them are still receiving orders like this:

WhatsApp messages Phone calls Random texts Sometimes even handwritten notes

And it gets messy fast:

Orders get lost Quantities get mixed up No clear history Constant back-and-forth

One guy told me he literally scrolls through chats at night just to confirm orders 😅

I’m curious — how are you guys handling retailer orders right now?

Is this still normal or are people using better systems?

What’s the biggest headache in running a wholesale/distribution business?

Trying to understand this space better.

If you run (or have run) a wholesale/distribution business:

What’s the most frustrating part of your day-to-day operations?

Is it:

Managing orders? Tracking inventory? Dealing with retailers? Something else?

Would really appreciate honest answers — I feel like starting one but I don't know much about this space but I heard it is profitable.
