new setup + question

ive had my hamster mochi (2 months old male) for about 2 weeks now and within the first 5 days i had to do a bit of setup change i also added more sprays i hope i did it right. what other things can i do to improve his setup? for reference this is a 100cmx50cm (40 inch x 20 inch) with about 8-10 inches of bedding (theres more bedding at the bottom but u cant see bc its covered by the wood frames). Also he’s been pretty chill w taming he takes treats and veggies from my fingers and lets me pet him while he eats. When should i start playpen time? i have a playpen for him but i dont wanna rush to try n pick him up or put him in the playpen incase he gets stressed out since its only been 2 weeks. how should i go about it? im also asking for taming tips in general to make him more calm around me :) he can be a but skittish when startled (accidentally dropped smth in my room that made a loud sound a couple days ago and he bolted around before hiding in his burrow) i want to be able to hold him for health inspections and weigh ins. also any tips for a first time hamster owner would be helpful. thank you very much!
