I snagged the first book of this duet {Edge of Sin by Lauren Biel} cuz it's currently free on Amazon US. I've seen posts/comments on other books by this author that sound kinda gruesome/disturbing but snagged this one cuz the blurb says it's "medium gray." To people who have read this duet, how dark is it? Does MMC do anything disturbing like mutilate the FMC? Or is this a relatively light book compared to her other books that are very popular in this sub?
