youtu.beXnghan's mini album came out a little over a week ago and I have listened to it on repeat so many times. I really really like song WishList. In particular I really like the chorus of the song. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations to songs with a similar vibe/genre.
I want to say that the song came out about two years ago and it was a girl group song. It was from a nugu group but I remember that they performed on The Show and it went viral because they name dropped so many idols. Like I think the song name dropped at least five other groups. I also remember a lyric that went something like "thank you sunbaenim" and "I respect you sunbaenim"
Does this song sound fimilar to anyone?
This past week has been Xnghan's comeback and I have been going to various events for it and talking with other fans and watching his comeback got me thinking about how different my life is from his and other idols. Like we are the same age but he is promoting his comeback and performing at music shows and I am a first semster graduate student. While he was at a fansign this week I called my mom crying due to midterms stress. When I was studying in highschool to go to college he was training to be an idol for hours everyday. Our lives are so different and we have gone through very different things that it is difficult to wrap my mind around the fact that our birthdays are only months apart.
I have never wanted to be an idol and am very happy with my life but sometimes it just hits me how different idols my age are living compared to me especially idols at big companies or in really popular groups. There are idols that I forget are the same age as me or in some cases younger than because they have been in the industry so long or because they are so visible. But then I'll see something and suddenly be reminded of just how young they and also how different being an idol is from being a regular person. There are idols who have done so much and gone on multiple world tours and are barley 20. Or I will hear about super young trainees/idols spending hours at practice and all I can think is at that age I was in middle school or how much I changed my mind about what I wanted to do at that age.
I was wondering if anyone knew about how many albums an idol would need to sell to break even or make a profit on a comeback.
