Long story boring - Purchased our house and moved in Feb 2026.

Very quickly had a Solar and Battery system fitted, and now in the process of applying for a SEG Tariff.

I'm being told that there is a FIT Tariff registered to my address - which must be from a previous owners install - as no panels on the roof when we moved in.

I've read that you can 'take over' a FIT Tariff, but surely not in this case, as we've had a fresh install?

I've reached out to Ofgem to try and find out details of it, but still waiting.

Is there anything exciting to be gained from this existing FIT Tariff - if not, is it going to be a pain to get the details 'wiped' so that my SEG application can continue?
