I’m 23 and FTM, I was talking to someone about how I’m cautious on what I consume during pregnancy (medicines, food, etc) and this women responded saying “ I don’t understand people being cautious about pregnancy but not being cautious about not getting pregnant” I just ignored it, later on I said I was scared of giving child birth, because I am, I’m also a black women which adds fears. To which to the women said “you’re pregnant but worried about child birth you took dick so you can push a baby out” I told her to not invalidate my fears and that I have the right to feel anyway I want to, to which she was dismissive. I get ignorant comments pretty often about my pregnancy, and want to know how to deal with them, and not let them get under my skin and ruminate.
