For women, chemo warriors and anyone else having hot flashes, especially nocturnal ones: does a neuropathy flareup ever precede them? I’m postmenopausal with cachectic neuropathy, and I often wake up around 4:30 a.m. thinking “ouch” (or more like “!!{%£*##”), realize I’m having a flareup, and then within 1-2 minutes, a hot flash rolls in. Sometimes I can’t tell which comes first, the flare or the flash. It’s driving me crazy and wondered if I’m the medical unicorn or if others have experienced this. I’m lucky in that my flashes last only about a minute, but the flareup lasts until I can get some gabapentin or THC in me. Anyone else?
