This is absolutely outrageous!
Bank Of America blocked a legitimate charge with a new creditor (HFD for work done with Absolute Dental) and even after I confirmed via email that the charge was legit....they blocked it again!
I finally called Bank Of America's Fraud department to ask why in the hell did they keep blocking the charge AFTER I confirmed it was legit and Bank Of America thanked me (via a browser popup) for confirming the charge was in fact legit.
They said because the transaction was sent through again but slightly different label than the 1st attempt.
I told the Bank Of America representative that this creditor should have never been flagged as Absolute Dental is a national dental provider and should be known in the system.
After talking to BofA...I then called the creditor for Absolute Dental and the rep told me there will be a $25 late payment fee on top of the charge and needless to say...I LOST IT on the phone!
I did everything right! I set up the monthly recurring fee, had plenty of money in my account and still...the system screwed me over starting with Bank Of America blocking the payment.
In the end...the Absolute Dental rep. said they will do a one-time courtesy waiver of the $25 charge, as if I did something wrong which I did NOT, but of course...thanks for Bank Of America's non-sense...my credit took a hit as well!
