Hey everyone, I'm Fedor Efimov in CBE. I'm launching two faculty-approved, student-led housing initiatives and building a team for summer/fall 2026.
The problem: No one tracks quarterly housing data for UW's 50,000+ off-campus students. No student-run platform for apartment reviews or roommate matching exists. We are fixing that.
What we are building:
- Housing Support Platform – apartment reviews, roommate matching, weekly housing huddles (group tours + lease workshops). Modeled after One Bus Away.
- Housing Research Lab – quarterly reports on U-District rent trends, code violations, and policy recommendations for Seattle City Council.
Open roles (no experience needed for many): Coding, Data (Excel/Sheets), Writing, Design (Canva/Adobe), Media (Instagram/Discord), Events, Policy, Communications, General Team Members
Timeline: Summer starts June. Pilot November. Public launch February 2027.
Benefits: Hands-on experience, leadership roles, resume-building, networking with faculty and city officials.
