Follow up to my other thread. We decided to get Novation Launchkey mk4 49 or 61 for our 10yo (both have MIDI out).

It will be primarily used with PC, but we will explore smartphone alternative too for more standalone use.

Regardless, I'm thinking about getting some absolutely simplest, minimalist and budget friendly hardware synth as an addon.

I've seen devices like Roland mc 101 or Yamaha SeqTrak recommended elsewhere, but they are certainly overkill and twice the price of Launchkey itself each.

So, what are Your thoughts on something like Behringer Pro VS mini? Or maybe You can suggest something else in similar budget?

So I'm after my first short shooting session from Kral Puncher Empire X 4.5 (.177) and I really like it. (Didn't have time to properly zero it but I'm going to put regulator on it anyway.)
BUT - I'm in Poland and we have 17J limit on unregistered, license free airguns. My Kral was bought as such.
I'm not a hunter, not interested in hunting at all, and airgun hunting in any power/caliber is not legal in Poland anyway.
All I'm interested in is recreational plinking and up to ~50 meters target shooting.
I assume modding/removing power limit is possible on rifle itself but it will result in necessity of registering my rifle.
NOW: for my intended use, will I gain anything by removing this limit? Or is 17J perfectly sufficient for target shooting?

Just want to confirm - will be installing regulator on my Kral Puncher which will need some tuning after.

My question is how do I safely degass it?

It doesn't have any apparent dedicated valve nor there is nothing about it in manual.

  1. Some people say to dry-fire it out but first, I'm very uncomfortable with dry-firing anything as it's usually considered harmful to equipment. Second it has huge 600cc tank so a lot dry shots.

  2. Alternative is to gently loose fill nipple but some say it may hinder or damage seals.

So how it is? Is there some other method? Or special dedicated attachment or tool?
