I 16F want to lighten a small strand of hair I don’t mind if it gets damaged, yesterday I tried to lighten it with citric acid and a hair dryer, it only lightened it a little bit. I have dark brown hair, I am not trying to lighten the roots of my hair bc I don’t want to give myself chemical burns. I don’t have the ability to buy hair bleach. What is the most effective way to lighten my hair using household products?
Update: I lightened my hair with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda I waited 45 min. Somehow my hair doesn’t seem damaged it isn’t blonde by any means but it’s significantly lighter, I am happy with the result and I didn’t get chemical burns
