Am I overreacting for thinking my boyfriend is emotionally cheating with his coworker?
My boyfriend recently started a new job a few months ago and ever since then he’s been talking nonstop about this one girl from work. At first I didn’t care because I trusted him, but now it’s getting weird. He laughs at her texts instantly, hides his phone when I’m near him, and somehow every story he tells includes her.
Last week we were watching a movie and I saw her name pop up at 1:30 AM with a message saying: “you better not fall asleep on me again 😂.” He quickly swiped it away and told me I was “looking too deep into it.”
What really got me though was when I borrowed his hoodie and found a receipt in the pocket for two coffees and pastries on a day he told me he “worked late and skipped dinner.” When I asked him about it he got defensive and said I’m acting toxic and insecure.
Now his friends are saying I’m overreacting because “guys and girls can just be friends,” but my gut is screaming that something’s off. Am I overreacting? tbh im still shaking : ))))
