I was recently at a resort where, like most hotels, you can charge food and drinks to your room by giving your room number. One night I went to a bar onsite and ordered a few things. I started chatting with the server, he seemed nice, he was from India. We talked about the resort, the food, our home countries, all normal stuff.
Anyway, I was done after a couple drinks and went about my night. But a few hours later I got a text… from the server. I hadn’t given him my name, let alone my number. The only thing I can think is that he got it from my room number, which as a solo female made me really uncomfortable.
I didn’t bring it up to management or mention it in a review, but now I’m wondering if I should. Or should I just let it go since I’m not there anymore?
Edit: thanks for the responses, everyone! I’ll let management know. I didn’t want to mess with someone’s job but ofc, this is definitely unacceptable.
