I want an opening to early to mid film reveal of one of the killers, or the "only" killer. We had this in Scream 6, and i sat in the theatre thinking "HOLY SHIT, THEY ACTUALLY DID IT" only to be so bitterly disappointed just minutes later.

Scream became famous by subverting the genre, and has lately become everything it once made fun of. Scream 8 needs to rewrite the rules, subvert the franchise, and do something COMPLETELY different.

Make the opening kill Maureen Prescott. AI is so advanced now I can create videos and deepfakes in 2 minutes on my PC alone that are convincing with voice cloning. You cant tell me a hollywood studio cant do the same with de-aging. Very obvious Skeet and Matthew would be down to appear again together, they're both still very close and love the franchise. You could easily get someone to play Maureen as the original actress may or may not do it.

Put the film back in woodsboro, thats where it started and thats where it needs to end. The two worst films in the franchise (in my opinion, dont hate me) took place outside of Woodsboro.

This is the BIG ONE for me: Make Roger L Jackson VICIOUS again. Films 5,6,7 really saw his dialouge toned down, it wasnt even that menacing or threatening it was just like "oh yeah you're gonna die, im gonna kill you" In Scream 4 Roger was absolutely menacing "Im gonna slit your eyelids in half so you dont blink when i STAB you in the face" I want THAT Roger back. Roger is Scream, and Scream is Roger, it doesn't work without him, I need that performance back before this franchise ends.

Surprisingly enough, WAY LESS GORE. Yes, we need kills, we need brutality, but ghostface is NOT supposed to be "michael fucking meyers" (shoutout jill roberts) They arent supposed to pick people up by their skulls and throw them around like rag dolls. Stop with the cheesy CGI, the most successful scream movies were made on practical effects, quick kills and sleek elusiveness. Ghostface isn't supposed to murder in broad daylight and be able to rip people open with one quick slit of a knife, that is so stupid. Scream succeeds on suspense, tension and buildup, not over the top cheesy CGI kills.

Deaths: Gail should die, sorry not sorry -- but she needs to die in a heroic way, the entire franchise has centered around her being somewhat "selfish, arrogant" it would be a great ending to her character arc sacrificing herself.

Sidney should probably die to. If this is the last movie, I hope they reboot it in the future but if this is last of this current universe, Sid should die. Ive read she wouldnt do the film if she was killed off but if they wrote in a way that made sense and protecting her daughter maybe she would.

Give me a finale that rivals the original in length, scope, and terror. I want a killer monologue, reveal, and drawn out ending that isnt rushed.

I saw an interview with rory culkin recently when scream 4 was released on youtube and he said that he went to wes and said "i wanna kind of have remorse for what ive done, like when i take off the mask at night when i go home i wanna cry thinking about what ive done" and Wes said "thats fine, but when you put the mask on, you're a soldier without emotion"

I wonder do you think any ghostface would go home, remember (the majority are just kids, not even graduated highschool, still living with their parents) do you think going home, seeing your mom and dad, and walking up to your room, there is literal any emotion at all?
