Is NieR: Automata worth it despite the fanservice?

Ok girls, I’m really interested in playing NieR: Automata / NieR Replicant, but the amount of fanservice genuinely makes me uncomfortable. Every time I look up anything about the games, whether it’s on Reddit, TikTok, or anywhere else, it’s just endless sexualized content and horny posts, and honestly it’s getting really annoying.

I’m not sure if I should just ignore it and focus on the game because it’s actually worth it, or if the story and characters aren’t strong enough to justify all that sexualization.

Is it worth playing despite the fan service and the sexualization from the community?

Edit: Thank you all for clearing up my doubts. You girls just brought my hype for the game back. I’m going to buy it right now!!

Is NieR: Automata really that good?

I’ve been thinking about buying NieR: Automata for a few days now, but I’m still undecided between it and three other games, Resident Evil 7, Yakuza 0, and Iwakura Aria. Is it actually as good as people say?

It feels like there are only two opinions about this game. People either call it a life-changing masterpiece or say it’s massively overrated. The only thing everyone seems to agree on is that the soundtrack is incredible.

I don’t mind replaying routes or dealing with a slower-paced game as long as the story and characters truly make up for it. What’s making me hesitant is that every time I look up anything related to NieR: Automata online, I see more 2B fanservice and endless horny ass shots than actual discussions about the game itself, and honestly it’s starting to get annoying. I’m beginning to wonder if part of the reason the game is put on such a pedestal is because of that.

For the people who have actually played it, are the story and characters really as memorable as people say, or would I be better off choosing one of my other options?
