Small balcony cat-proofing + drying laundry ideas?

Hi! Looking for advice on my small balcony 😊

I’m currently making it cat-proof (with mesh), because my cats figured out they can climb the railing and jump onto the neighbor’s roof so safety is my priority.

I also use the balcony a lot for drying laundry, but I’m struggling: – Freestanding racks take up too much space – Inside is too narrow (plants + walking space) – With the mesh, I don’t know how to hang laundry over the railing anymore

I’d love a solution that keeps it: – safe for my cats – practical for drying clothes – and still somewhat neat

Any ideas or setups that worked for you? 🙏
